Pressure Games Has Joined Pledge 1%

Pressure Games is happy to announce that we have joined Pledge 1%. If you're unfamiliar with them, it's best described in their own words:

“Pledge 1% is a global movement to create a new normal where giving back is integrated into the DNA of companies of all sizes. Pledge 1% encourages and challenges founders and companies to Pledge 1% of equity, profit, product, and/or time to causes of their choosing. Over 5,000 companies in 100 countries have joined the movement, including Twilio, Glassdoor, Box, Yelp, General Assembly, Docusign, Salesforce, Atlassian, and Techstars.”

Pressure Games is a young start up- but we want to stick a stake in the ground early and build our business based on a mission that doesn’t just serve a profit, but also a conscious company culture, thoughtful product development, inclusive business goals, and active community partnerships for good.

Why is something like joining Pledge 1% important to us? We want to join a community that supports give back for social change. We will hold ourselves to this commitment while also making this movement visible to other companies that might be interested in participating. While giving back is a common thought, it’s not always easy to know the best ways when thinking on a larger scope. We will help others in their endeavor to do good just as others have helped us.

As a Public Benefit Corporation, we set our company mission to be:

“To promote social, active playtime for the healthy development of children”

To accomplish that mission, we are already working with and supporting organizations on a local level that work to better the lives of children. We are currently working with the local Boys & Girls Club, YMCA and elementary school system. As we grow, we expect to expand our outreach to a national scale. We pledge to give 1% of our product and time to these organizations and already have partnerships aligned to make this happen.
